Last week I wrote about how date nights need to be incorporated into our life more often, but I found out on Tuesday that date night at home can be just as fun. While going out has its perks – unique activities and someone else cooking/doing the dishes – there is certainly something to be said about staying in. Our recent date night at home consisted of fire-lit tiki torches, a cigar, veggie burgers, champagne, and television shows on the computer.
With the kind of weather we’ve been having, a little champagne on the patio is the perfect way to spend an evening.
All of these lights were turned off for the actual “television-watching,” but I couldn’t help but capture Matt with his cigar.
Yes, that is The Bachelorette. And yes, in Matt’s defense, I make him watch it. But in my defense, I’ve been watching a lot of European soccer lately…
