Mundane Musings – A Day Late

I’ve been a bad little blogger the past couple of Fridays, failing to provide the mundane musings of my life. I promise…I’ll be better! So, on this edition of Mundane Musings, and like so many others, I’d like to share the random that keeps me on my toes day in and day out. Whether it be in Gibraltar or Spain, I’m constantly surprised by life over here.

Gibraltar is a popular place for military air force training, as you can seen in this photo. Lately, and for the next couple of weeks, we’ll have fighter planes taking off and landing on the runway. It causes chaos for the people living in Gibraltar, because it creates massive traffic problems, but in person, it’s a really neat sight to see.

I had a good ‘ole fashion sleepover last night with a couple of friends here, and they sure do make a mean Mai Tai! Thanks again, Jo and Damon, for letting me hang with you!

I know I share a lot of photos of Gibraltar with you, but how can I not when I see stuff like this?! One, check out that ominous cloud just hovering over the rock. Two, do you notice that mountainous formation behind the rock? That is Africa – pretty neat. It also extends further to the left, which you may be able to see here. On a clear day, it’s amazingly visible, and at some point, I’ll remember to take a photo for you!

Along with my mundane, I’d also like to include something not so unique to my cultural surroundings – a birthday shout-out to one of my best friends (and talented musician – shameless plug) who makes me laugh, is always down for a drink at happy hour, and can remember what I was like as a wee, little freshman in college. I know I’m a couple days late, but I figure his celebrations will last all weekend. Paul, I miss you over here in Spain!

Here’s to the best platonic friend a girl could ask for!

As for the rest of you, have a fantastic weekend! 🙂

Your photo of Gibraltar and Africa behind it is the clearest shot I’ve seen yet!
